Emporia State’s Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation is located in the HPER (pronounced like hyper) building. The HPER department includes the programs of athletic training, health and human performance, health education, coaching, physical education, and sport leadership and recreation. With modern learning spaces and state-of-the-art education areas such as the physical training area, our students leave our programs ready for their careers.
