King Hall is home to the art and theatre departments. As an art student, you will be taught by exhibiting artists, respected art historians and art educators. Studios are available for art education, ceramics, digital imaging and animation, engraving arts, graphic design, drawing, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and fibers.

The theatre department began in 1913, making it one of the oldest theatre programs in the country. Students involved in theatre at ESU have opportunities to participate in a variety of groups, companies and performances.
